Welcome
St Leonard's Church is a small parish church located in the village of Sherfield on Loddon in Hampshire. We form part of a local benifice with St Mary's Church in Stratfield Saye & St Mary's Church in Hartley Wespall, serving these three villages and the wider community. We belong within the Odiham Deanery, one of 13 deaneries that collectively form the Anglican Diocese of Winchester. Our diocesan mother church is Winchester Cathedral.
St Leonard's church has its origins in the 12th century, when a christian church was first built on this site. Since then it has been serving the community in numerous ways and playes a fundamental part in local village life. Today, the church continues to offer itself as a focal point for christian worship within a vibrant local community, serving the village of Sherfield and outlying areas and looking to support the community & village life within the benifice.
Architecturally, St Leonard's is a beautiful church and so attracts many people, some simply as passing visitors but also those seeking to use the church for more formal occasions such as weddings and baptisms. As a growing church, both spiritually and in numbers, St Leonard's has much to offer all who visit. Everyone is welcome to visit the church and attend its services, we would love to see you.
