FAMILY FILM NIGHT- SUCCESS!

We’re so grateful you could join us and help create such a joyful atmosphere. If you attended, we hope you had a wonderful time! The evening was filled with laughter and excitement, especially during the apple bobbing—seeing everyone’s smiles was heartwarming. Knock down the ducks proved another favourite, and the children’s energy brought a vibrant buzz throughout the church. After enjoying the games and making fruit kebabs, families gathered for snacks and drinks before settling in to watch the film. The church, beautifully decorated with lights, giant cobwebs, spiders, and pumpkins, set a welcoming and Halloween scene.

The event wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated volunteers—thank you to everyone who contributed. Your kindness and support ensured a smooth and enjoyable experience for all, and your efforts truly made the evening special.

At St Leonard’s, we’re committed to serving our community by welcoming everyone in the parish, regardless of faith, and working with local facilities to offer a warm, inclusive environment. Our Sunday Service features Kids Church, where families can participate while their children enjoy activities in our church annex. More details can be found on our website: https://www.stleonardschurch.co.uk/

We would especially love to see you at our next FREE Christmas Family Movie Night on **6th December at 4pm**. Your involvement over the years has helped us create such welcoming events, and we look forward to making more memories together.

BOOK OF THE MONTH

                         CHASING THE DRAGON

Inside of Hong Kong was the infamous Walled City. Strangers were not welcome there. Police hesitated to enter. It was a haven of filth, crime and sin. Prostitution, pornography and drug addiction flourished. Jackie Pullinger had grown up believing that if she put her trust in God, He would lead her. When she was 20 years old, God called her to the Walled City. She obeyed. And as she spoke of Jesus Christ, brutal hoods were converted, prostitutes retired from their trade and heroin junkies found new power that freed them from the bondage of drug addiction. Hundreds discovered new life in Christ. Chasing the Dragon tells the whole amazing story exactly as it happened. Equally amazing has been the reach of this ministry, now detailed in this updated and revised edition. From Hong Kong to the Philippines, Thailand and beyond, the ministry that started with Jackie and her friends taking people in to live and care for them has continued and developed to form the present St. Stephen’s Society. Readers will be inspired by this tale of trust and loving as Jesus would.
