Our Vision
Growth
Our vision is to engage with our parish community, building bridges where all are welcome and feel they belong. We look to God to grow our community where all are involved, learning together how to encounter God and follow Jesus every day.
Loving Communities
We are welcoming to newcomers, providing a space where everyone can find peace and a place to belong. Our worship, teaching and loving care for all ages begins with knowing we are made in the image of God and are loved by God for who we are.
We believe that as Christians, the true measure of our love lies not in the volume of our words but in the demonstration of our actions.
Benefice
We are a group of 5 parishes with 4 churches serving our diverse communities. We are learning how to work better together, helping one another to be the churches God is calling us to be.

Our Benefice comprises of Sherfield on Loddon, Stratfield Saye, Hartley Westpall, Stratfield Turgis and Bramley.
Making a difference
We aim to visibly contribute to all aspects of life in Sherfield. As Christians we seek to bring energy and enthusiasm in serving our communities and meeting people's needs in the name of Jesus. This includes caring for those in need of support or assistance, including the housebound and unwell, and providing support and encouragement to parents and families.

Message from the Rector
Mark Anderson - Rector
"Sherfield is a beautiful place and I feel privileged to work here, serving the people who live, work and visit our parish. We are a church for the people and all are welcome to spend time in the building or walking in the churchyard. Being a Christian has given me a sense of purpose in life and a peace that all will be well, whatever our circumstances. I believe the Jesus way is the best way to live and relate to others. At St Leonard’s we are learning together how to follow the example of Jesus each and every day."
